PBK Alumni Association Thanks Justice Major Harding

On April 18, 2013, the PBK Alumni Association held its annual dinner meeting at Timuquana Country Club. Local judges and attorneys joined us.

Justice Harding shared memories from his years as a trial judge in Jacksonville and as a Justice of the Florida Supreme Court in Tallahassee.  In addition, he provided insights on the causes and possible cures for the popular misconceptions about the American system of justice.

We thank Justice Harding for his stimulating presentation.

On November 14, 2012, Phi Beta Kappa held its joint meeting with the Jacksonville Historical Society at the Old St. Andrews Church.  We would like to thank our speaker, Dr. Jay Hubner, PHD, University of North Florida.  His discussion describing the possibility of a meteor impact near the area known as Round Marsh in the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve near Ft. Caroline was both informative and interesting.

The monies collected at this meeting will be used to fund future scholarships.
